Bio
He was born as a child of the green tea factory's owner in 1960 at Iwata City,
Shizuoka, Japan.
His home is old and he is one of the 15th generation of his family.
Having grown in green tea field, he entered Shizuoka University.
He studied about American modern history there, especially about the intentional
communities in U.S.A..
As a historian, he wrote some books and visited some intentional communities in
U.S., Mexico, India and Japan. He has nice friends in many communities in the world.
And he founded the Fellowship for Intentional Community Japan (FICJ). It is a helper
web site for communication between communities in Japan.
Now, he is a CEO of the publishing company, Meikyosha Ltd. and a helper of FICJ.
He lives in Tokyo with his wife and his daughter.
略歴
1960年、静岡県磐田市に製茶業を営む旧家の15代目として生まれる。
静岡大学人文学部にて、アメリカ現代史、特に1960年代のコミュニティー運動について研究。
歴史学研究者として、アメリカやメキシコ、インド、また日本国内にあるコミュニティーを訪ね、
親睦を深める。コミュニティーに関する翻訳、著作があり、専門分野の関連・延長として、
心理学、フェミニズム、英語を守備範囲としている。
また、日本国内にあるコミュニティーのコミュニケーションのなかだちとして、
日本コミュニティー親睦会(FICJ)を設立、その世話役を務める。
世界一小さな出版社・明鏡舎の代表取締役。奮闘と苦悩の日々を送っている。東京在住。
